yellow brick road

This Wonderful Wizard of Oz Cake has marshmallow fondant, icing from a can, marzipan and homemade buttercream – because I don’t have to make up my mind if I don’t want to.

That’s also why my kitchen looks like this.

Shout out to my husband for the Tin Woodman and to my sister-in-law, M, for the fine scarecrow and the first draft of the Emerald City.

Next week I hope to return to our regularly scheduled stash busting.

It very nearly did. 😉 Thanks for checking in on me. I appreciate it.

We’re finishing up our first homeschool year in a couple of weeks and emptying out all the cupboards. Looking for storage solutions for books and gardening supplies and crafts and homeschool stuff and linens and I don’t know what else. I wish I could call it a blitz or even a plod, but it’s more like hunting and pecking.

You make some beautiful cakes! And let me just say how envious I am of your KitchenAid! Every time I go to Sur la Table (I think?) I drool over it.
