I went to a local yarn store today. What is it with independent, smallish craft places that they’re always so cluttered? Have they never heard of Ikea?
I needed certain sized knitting needles for a particular project. The woman at the store informed me that the store policy is that unused, unopened yarn can be returned but knitting needles cannot. Who am I to argue with store policy so I said, “OK.”
“Anyway,” she continued, “it’s the law that knitting needles can’t be returned.”
“Well, because people touch them with their hands.”
“But people’s hands are on the yarn too. And you can return bras.”
She shrugs, “I know, I know, but that’s the law.”
It sounds bizarre to me. Has anyone out there ever heard of such a thing?
