I’m taking it easy today.  Cleaning house and reading to the children.  It feels so good to be surrounded by the things I love  – bed, books, art supplies, children and Christmas lights.

I plan on being a little selfish – taking the first shower in the clean bathroom because this little red hen knows how to eat the bread she bakes.

Here’s a small poem I wrote today.

Observer Effect

It’s a God’s wonder just to see

the wide wings of a butterfly

shadow a world below

and play no part of my own

still as stone
